A REFRESHING PAST

My uncle recently handed me this Los Angeles Times magazine article from 1971, "Design Lab in the Dunes" by Dan MacMasters. This is a review of a course my Dad and his colleague Ahde Lahti taught at Cal Poly Pamona.  In their studios, students were to design and build temporary structures made out of corrugated cardboard.  They then transported and erected the structures in the dunes at Pismo Beach for a two-day camping trip.
